How long does someone stay in therapy? Is there a set time frame?
Typically there isn’t a standard time frame for services. You and your therapist will identify your goals for treatment and once you have successfully completed those goals services will be complete. You and your therapist will monitor and track your progress during the course of treatment and will revise them as needed.  The length of treatment completely depends on your needs and progress.
What are some reasons people come for therapy?
People from multiple backgrounds seek therapy for all sorts of reasons, but most often it is because there is an issue in their life they want to improve.  Those issues may include (but not limited to) feeling depressed or anxious due to an event in their life, family conflicts, trouble in their relationships (both professionally and personally), behavioral problems in school, addictions, difficulty parenting, amongst many others.  Finding Clarity works with children, teens, and adults to help address whatever your needs may be.
How do I know what I say will be kept private? Are sessions confidential?
We at Finding Clarity take your privacy EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY as we ensure everyone fully complies with all federal, state, and local laws governing your privacy.  You will be notified in writing of your rights to privacy at intake and you will also have the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have at anytime.
How long are the sessions? How often do I come in for sessions?
Most sessions last about one hour and clients usually attend weekly sessions; however, there are some clients who attend every other week. The frequency of sessions will be assessed and determined by you and your therapist during your sessions based on your individualized needs
Do you prescribe medication?
We are currently searching for a psychiatrist to be able to manage your medication needs.  Once we are able to do so we will provide that option only where it is clinically appropriate.
